Mindful Of It was a brand I created in 2020, during lockdown when a sense of community and connection felt more essential than ever.

After leaving my role at Shelter, I followed a long‑standing interest in meditation and trained in Mindfulness‑Based Stress Reduction (MBSR). What began as free local sessions quickly grew into something more intentional: a space where I could bring together my experience in creative facilitation, storytelling and design with a practice rooted in presence and emotional wellbeing.

As I hosted sessions — sharing my own experiences and crafting exercises to help groups explore the practice more deeply — I realised this work was a natural extension of everything I’d done up to that point: participation, creativity, community, and helping people make sense of the world around them.

I trained further in mindfulness for children and young people, ensuring all my work was trauma‑informed, and created Mind Craft — a course designed to engage children in emotional wellbeing through creativity and play.

Although I eventually moved on to new creative challenges, the work continues to shape how I lead, collaborate and parent. I still use these skills every day — and host free workshops whenever I can.
